“I have had the great pleasure and have been very lucky to come across The Sports Lettering Company.
I first started dealing with the staff during the Toronto Maple Leafs (1967) reunion a few years back at the Toronto Convention Centre. I needed someone to letter my Mitchell & Ness 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs jerseys which I had for each player. For the average company this sounds a lot easier said than done. I went to many lettering companies to get the info to have this done. Each time I found that these companies did not do the research and assumed that their standard fonts that they usually use were correct. But all of them did not know the correct fonts, size and wanted to put names on the jerseys.
As we all know there were no names on jerseys in 1967. I was able to sit down and go over the Hockey Hall of Fames info on the correct fonts and size of the numbers. The jersey’s came out great and were the talk of the show.
I have become one of the biggest Jerseys collectors in Canada and also deal in the Vintage Wool hockey jerseys that need special care and attention in the lettering. Again a lot of research was needed to go into these jerseys as the numbers are felt, and not twill. Once again the jerseys continue to come out great.
I have been able to build a great working relationship with The Sports Lettering Company because they take pride in their quality workmanship. I have the trust in their work each time I get my jerseys back from them. Their customer service makes you feel like you want to come back over and over.
